course is designed specifically for adults interested in improving their
typing skills. This program
teaches students systematic instructions to excellent keyboarding skills.
This class begins by teaching finger positioning and the proper
movements to strike keys. Lessons
and intense practice allow adults to learn the correct approach to
touch-typing and to increase their speed and accuracy.
Topics also include a brief introduction to Windows and Microsoft
Word. This course is designed to provide advanced training for you to become familiar with three popular Microsoft Office programs which are the most frequently used programs in today’s business environment. This class will provide complete instructions for Microsoft Word that allows you to create documents, letters or reports. You will learn page formatting, styles, lists, tables, and much more. As well this class offers detailed instructions for working with files such as creating folders, saving, opening as well as using shortcut keys. Topics also include the application of Microsoft Excel, which is an electronic spreadsheet that enables you to create worksheets for data entry, calculations, formulas, functions, graphs, charts and much more. You will learn to apply Excel to your daily activities such as keeping track of your monthly income and expenses. This course also teaches you to use Microsoft PowerPoint to create multimedia slide presentations to display information in a graphical format. Advanced
Programs
These programs are designed for those who wish to become proficient in web and graphic design. On completion of the program, students will have good understanding of terminology and design concepts of web designing. For more advanced approach there are additional programs to this course as: Adobe Photoshop, QuarkXPress,
Adobe Illustrator and Macromedia Dreamweaver.
This subject offers instruction to web design using HTML. Follow step-by-step lessons to create your own website using HTML.
Student will learn how to use
Front page for web design and create dynamic web pages. Topics include
text layout, image placement, inserting tables, frames and hyperlinks.
They will design web sites on a topic of their choice and set-up web site
on the Internet.
Macromedia Flash - Animations Using hands-on projects, students learn to create
Web animations incorporating graphics, text and sound.
This program is a more advanced approach to animation for those students who have completed or currently taking the Macromedia Flash course. Students will be introduced in programming in Flash and create their own applications (games).
